Little Leila

Leila went for her 4 month appointment today. After another round of shots (she still hates them) we were told she is in the 4th percentile for weight and the 38th percentile for height. TINY. LITTLE. BABY.

At four months she is 10 lbs and 15 oz and stands 24 inches tall. Her 3 week old cousin Peyton will be passing her up in no time!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised! I was (and still am) 5'1" tall freshman year of high school and was TALLER than Jeff at the Homecoming and Turnabout dances.

We are suppose to keep feeding her when she wakes at night. This is bad and good news. Bad because interrupted sleep will continue for another few months. Good because I don't have to worry about trying methods to get her to sleep through the night...yet.

Leila got the okay to try rice cereal today. It should help her reflux and help her maintain her weight until she starts solids (fruits and veggies) at six months. She HATED it. It was actually kind of funny to watch.

We have another check up at 6 months. I have a feeling she'll start packing on the pounds now that she is eating cereal and having formula while I am at work.
