...slept in her OWN room this weekend!
After Leila has unsuccessfully tried to sleep on her tummy, in her swaddle, in her tiny pack 'n play we decided to take the plunge and put her to sleep in her crib without her swaddle.
She has been napping in her own room and at Grandma and Grandpa's without her swaddle for about a month now. No problems, since she only needs to sleep 1-2 hours at a time.
We tried the past two Friday nights to have her sleep in her pack 'n play without her swaddle, only to swaddle her back up an hour into her nighttime sleep. This swaddle thing was our miracle sleep solution. It was the only way we could get her to sleep and stay asleep through multiple nightly wake-ups (at her worst it was five times a night!)
Well, the timing was finally right this Friday night. She did it (and so did I with only three terrible nightmares)!
HOORAY!
Here are some totally unrelated, but I must say, totally adorable pictures of our big girl:)

SoCal Livin'
Leila and I went to the park today...in February. It is another gorgeous 70-something degree day here in SD and I feel perfectly alright rubbing it in. That is why I moved here!
I went a little picture happy during our 15 minute park stay (Leila has a short attention span;)
She loved the feel of the grass and was staring at the tree above.
Happy day!
P.S. Leila is such a good napper now that I have time for two posts in one day. Thanks Mom!

Time flies
It has been three weeks since my last post and Leila has grown a bunch since then (maybe even gained 2 pounds!!) Even Aunt Val noticed a change in how she looks from last Wednesday to Superbowl Sunday!
She will be 5 months old next week!!! It is so amazing (and cliche) how fast she is growing up.
At Leila's 4 month appointment with the doctor we were told to hold off on her medicine for a week before we reordered her prescription to see if she had grown out of her reflux. NOPE, she hasn't. After many sleepless nights this week she is back on the Prilosec. We'll try again next month:)
She has started to actually enjoy rice cereal. Here I am feeding her just one week later from my last post.
Well...not much made it in her mouth this time!
She loves playing on the floor. A BIG change from just a month and a half ago. She rolls over from back to belly and belly to back, lifts her head up high, and reaches for her toys. It won't be long until she is doing log rolls across the room.
Now that I am working I do not get to spend as much time with Leila. It's difficult to leave her smiling face in the morning. But I know she is in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa or Poppy!
