It's a...

B-O-Y!

Jeff and I couldn't be happier!  I noticed the "goods" right away when the ultrasound tech scanned my belly looking for the correct starting point for her measurements.  I didn't say anything at the time, I just let her do her job.  Finally when she got to the legs there was a clear shot.  I asked, "Are those the legs?" She immediately laughed and then said, "It's a boy!"

A healthy boy, that is.  All of his measurements were right on.  The technician said he weighs about 8 oz right now, which puts him in the 41st percentile. (Really?! There is a percentile chart for unborn babies. That's just strange to me.)

So...now it's time to shop!

Please Mommas, share where you buy your baby boy clothing.  I hit Old Navy and Target just hours after the ultrasound and came home with one stinkin' piece of clothing!

Is there a secret boy clothing section that I missed?  There were like four items in each store for boys!  I don't do animals, trucks, dinosaurs (guess that is an animal too, huh?), stupid sports related sayings, or most sayings in general.  I'm screwed aren't I?  (Funny how I didn't notice the lack of boy clothing when I was busy shopping for adorable, stylish, and fun baby girl clothing.)

I am equally picky about themes/sayings on my child's clothes. Wait for GAP to have a sale. Old Navy online has some cheap cute stuff too. Their stores never seem to have as much. Hooray for baby boys! I am so excited for you!

I was not a fan of trucks, puppies, etc, until Liam turned one and started squealing (in delight) in stores when he saw truck pajamas. So, I caved. I figure they're just pajamas, right? He lives in Gap or Gymboree clearance and a few things I'd pick up from the Children's Place. I'm a big fan of Target for daycare clothes, and he lived in Jumping Bean polo onesies (from Kohls, so they're really cheap) when he was a baby.

Soooo exciting!! You four are going to have sooo much fun! As for clothes, i mainly have a hard time with boys shirts (and nothing ever fits Redmond properly). I agree it is hard to find things that do not say lame things on them. It might be hard to avoid animals I feel like boys clothes are centered around animals, but I might be wrong. Target is the worst for boys which it sounds like you found out today. I usually do Crazy 8, Naartjie, sometimes the Children's Place (more pants/shorts, not really shirts. If you get their emails they have amazing online sales). Gap and Gymboree are good but i only wait for sales. Getting a gap card is good because they send you really awesome coupon deals. Macy's can also have some cute stuff and they also have good sales. I feel like boys day to day clothes are not that exciting, but when they dress up they are ridiculously cute.

Shopping for boys can be hard, their section is much smaller than the girls. My favorite is Children's Place and Crazy 8

Congrats to you and your family!! I have a 16 month old son, I shop at Carters {online mostly with coupon codes, but I do find that the store has really great deals, coupons, and sales all the time} they seem to have to the cutest boy stuff. Gap is good too but only when they have sales and I'm sure you've noticed they always have a ton more GIRL stuff haha! Still looking for interesting/fun/cool toddler boy clothes.

Yay!! I actually have had good luck at Old Navy - maybe they're between seasons? Or maybe I have no fashion sense... Equally possible.

Congrats!

Yay for boys! I have a girl, then a boy. Look at Nextdirect.com for adorable clothing. American apparel also has great pants and you can get them at amazon.com. Tea clothing is awesome but expensive. Oshkosh has lots of non-truck/dino/animal stuff, too. Good luck!!!!

Congrats!! and no, you didn't miss anything...that's the life of boy moms! We do a lot of target because they aren't so cartoon-y...we don't do Thomas or cars or anything like that (at least we try not to!).
