I read in a parenting magazine that there are few true gender differences. Boys and girls are not so much born to be different as they are raised to be different.
I also read about some good ways to help your child build skills in areas typically "owned" by the other gender. When I finished reading the article I thought it would be a good idea to share the one idea that stuck with me with Jeff.
Stupid, stupid me.
I paraphrased to him what I got from the article.
Girls tend to fall behind in math because boys are born with a small advantage in spacial perception that magnifies as they play with blocks, vehicles, and balls.
So now my husband throws balls at my kid. Yep, even when she's not looking.
Nice.
